Hi, I’m Sam and I am a professional actor and teacher…

I’ve spent the last 10 years working professionally in musical theatre, performing in major West End productions including Les Misérables and Oliver!

Alongside performing, I teach singing, acting and musical theatre coaching in Henley-on-Thames for children (10+), teenagers and adults. I help students build confidence, develop technique and grow their performance skills in a supportive environment.

Singing, Acting &
Musical Theatre Coaching

Pick What’s Right For You

Beginners & Intermediate Students

Whether you are completely new to singing and acting or returning to performance after time away, lessons are tailored to your experience level and goals. I work with children (10+), teenagers and adults looking to build confidence, improve technique and enjoy musical theatre in a supportive environment. Alongside learning for fun, students can also develop vocal technique and acting skills through personalised one-to-one coaching.

Drama School Auditions & LAMDA

I specialise in drama school audition preparation, helping students prepare monologues, songs and acting-through-song material for musical theatre and acting courses. Previous students have gone on to train professionally and work within the industry. I also offer LAMDA coaching and can help students prepare confidently for upcoming examinations, auditions and performances.

Professional Coaching & Mentoring

For professional performers and advanced students, I offer mentoring and audition coaching shaped by over 10 years of West End experience. Whether you are preparing self-tapes, refining audition material, developing your rep book or navigating the challenges of the industry, sessions are designed to support your next step professionally and creatively.

  • "Sam is a phenomenal singing teacher. He has a highly encouraging manner and perfectly blends technical instruction with confidence-building. Sam's passion for musical theatre is infectious and this shows through every cue and bit of feedback that he provides. Sam's guidance far surpasses singing instruction as he also shares invaluable tips and experience for those exploring a career in the industry. My daughter's technical ability has improved hugely with thanks to Sam's tuition. I can't wait to see how she develops as she continues her weekly lessons. For anyone looking for a singing teacher, I couldn't recommend Sam more highly."

  • "Sam is a great musical theatre teacher. He is really helping my 10 year old daughter develop her acting through song and her vocal technique. He is reliable and makes lessons focused yet fun. My daughter loves being taught by a real west end star!"

  • "Enthusiastic, talented and hugely encouraging, Sam is a brilliant singing teacher. Over the past two years he has taught my son Finn, and their lessons cover everything from Frank Sinatra to Elbow, via Neil Young. Sam has helped enormously with the performance element of GCSE Music and is now supporting Finn through A-level Music too. What makes a difference is that Sam's not just a teacher, but a working actor — seeing Sam perform in the West End was really inspiring. Most importantly, though, Sam’s lessons have given Finn a confidence and a love of singing that I think he’ll carry with him for life."

  • "Starting over as an adult student can be very daunting, but Sam's support and encouragement have already seen me through my first audition and show. Not only does Sam bring a wealth of experience to every lesson, but he is also a consummate professional, as well as being a genuinely lovely person."
